This is my story...

30 Years of Leadership, Innovation and Impact

A legislator with proven problem-solving versatility, business pragmatism, a breadth of private industry experience, education, and entrepreneurial and economic development perspectives brings essential balance and common sense to policymaking.

This is my story and my unique value proposition for Holliston, Hopkinton, Millis, and Sherborn.

My experiences converge to meet the challenges of this moment. I am a proven leader who brings new ideas and energy to tough challenges. I have served on multiple boards to make a difference for others: Millis Select Board, UMass Amherst Alumni Association, Last Hope K9 Dog Rescue, Millis Educational Resources Initiatives Team (MERIT), and Hospitality Homes. I hold the highest credential in my profession and the impact of my work has been recognized nationally and locally, to include by the White House. I am the only 8th Middlesex State Rep candidate who arrives having been on the front lines of the dominant State and fiscal concerns that occupy our kitchen conversations immediately upon opening our tax bills.

The responsibilities of State Reps are a seamless extension of my 30-year career. I am well versed in solving problems by building new allies, being relentless about ROI, and exceeding performance targets.

An entrepreneur knows two things to be true: you must be ready for the unpredictable, and you are often called upon to fix problems with little notice, almost always outside of 9 to 5.

I love helping people. I’m known for that. I’m also up for achieving results thought not possible, as I'm a veteran of doing more with less. I led the successful debut of the new Foxboro rail service against the pressure of the State’s largest global tourism event, World Cup, with a budget of zero taxpayer dollars. This is where having private-sector ingenuity in government pays off.

Through leadership positions in Dallas, Philadelphia, and Boston, to include my own consultancy, Clarity, I’ve managed both unfathomable and exciting challenges that are proof of my effective collaboration and communications skills. My work is linked to some of the most respected brands, exciting startups, and headline-making  events, including the Boston Marathon, July 4th Esplanade Concert, Olympic Trials, and Sail Boston.  Two unexpected career stops added national executive search and adjunct entrepreneurial marketing faculty as enriching experiences.

Whether as an elected official, appointee, agency department head, or consultant, I have always left these campsites better than I found them. When entrusted by the CDC to refresh its most visible health advocacy campaign, the fantastic outcomes were praised by the White House at the United Nations, and we were rehired three years later. My work for the MBTA’s hosting of international World Cup fans not only received multiple awards but became the catalyst for the Olympics to short-list Boston as a host city. All 28 agency unions volunteered for this event.

I have the experience to be an effective advocate for our towns, and I know that it’s about all of us.
